Citizens for Modern Transit is hosting the 2025 edition of the College Transit Challenge on Thursday, October 2nd. Students, faculty and staff can register for the challenge at CollegeTransitChallenge.com. Those who register have the opportunity to get a free “Public Transit” t-shirt and College Transit Challenge sticker (while supplies last). Once registered, transit trips can be tracked via text on October 2nd to help St. Louis Community College win. Free prizes and discounts will be available that day and the challenge will kick off with a Mascot Meetup event that morning at Grand Station beginning at 9 am, including a ride on MetroLink to Kiener Plaza downtown for free breakfast sliders from UKRAFT.
St. Louis Community College, Saint Louis University, Southwestern Illinois College, University of Missouri–St. Louis and WashU are all competing for the highly coveted bragging rights and traveling championship cup as part of the CMT College Transit Challenge. This annual competition encourages college students, faculty and staff to utilize their Metro U-Passes to take MetroLink and/or MetroBus wherever they need to go that day. Trips are tracked via mobile texting and the school that collectively tracks the most transit trips wins.
