Duha Shreiteh's recent solo show titled "Diary of an Entertainment Artist" was featured at the Florissant Valley Contemporary Gallery.
Exploring a balance between personal expression in relation to her current endeavors within the commercial arts profession, Shreiteh finds a love for creating grounded fantasy worlds full of depth. These fantasy pieces tie together her love for adventure games like "The Legend of Zelda" alongside personal interests in archi tecture and culture studies.
Within her journey, finding balance is a constant. Between the compromises of industry and the need for personal expression, she works toward representation of her experiences within a sphere where media can shape our perceptions of the world. This exhibit explores this internal back and forth. The opening reception was held Thursday, Aug. 28 in Instructional Resources 111 (the Library).
