My favorite Halloween candy is candy corn. The reason why I like candy corn is because I love the flavor and how it has different colors. I also like it because it has a unique texture that is soft at first then becomes chewy. When I eat candy corn it brings me memories of going trick-or-treating with friends and having a Halloween party with my family. Today, some people don’t like to eat candy corn, but I still like to eat candy corn once a while.

My favorite Halloween memory was when I was about 7-8 years old. It was my first time trick-or-treating with an actual Halloween costume. I remember when I was younger my family was pretty poor, nor did we live in the best neighborhood so trick or treating for us was never a thing. Solely because our environment didn’t allow us that luxury nor did we have a car to go anywhere safer. But that year seemed to be different.
My mom finally got a car and a new job. We still lived in the same neighborhood, but my mom wanted us to experience what every child did. So, she took me and my brother to Party City. I remember vividly picking out a tiger costume and my brother picked out a ninja costume. I was so excited to be able to wear a simple tiger costume. I begged my mom for tiger makeup as well. That was definitely the happiest I’ve felt on Halloween. Just the simple fact that I was able to dress up and go trick-or-treating as a little kid who never got to experience that, it was something I’ll never forget. Not only because it was my first time ever going trick-or-treating but sadly it was also my first and last time. After that year I didn’t go anymore but I was still very grateful for that experience.

My favorite scary movie is Saw because I actually like movies that keep me guessing. When I watch it, I’m always trying to figure out what is going to happen next and how everything is connected. I like how the movie has so many unexpected moments that make me want to keep watching instead of getting bored. The mystery is probably my favorite part because I like trying to figure things out before the movie reveals them.
I also like Saw because it is different from regular scary movies. It is not just about something jumping out and scaring you, but also about the story and the choices the characters have to make. Some parts are definitely intense, but that is what makes it memorable to me. I would recommend it to someone who likes suspenseful movies and enjoys trying to figure out the ending.

My favorite Halloween activity is trick-or-treating. I like it because Halloween feels different from every other day of the year. I get to dress up, go outside with people I care about, and just have fun without worrying about everything else. I also like seeing all the different costumes people come up with and how some houses go all out with their decorations.
Even though I’m getting older, trick-or-treating is still something I enjoy because it brings back childhood memories. There’s just something fun about walking around at night, seeing all the Halloween decorations, and getting candy from different houses. Halloween is really about making memories for me, and trick-or-treating is one of the traditions that makes the holiday feel special.

I have never really celebrated Halloween because of my Christian beliefs. Instead of going out for Halloween, I would usually stay home with my family and spend time together. Sometimes we would watch a suspenseful or scary movie with some snacks before or after Halloween, which made the night fun without actually celebrating Halloween. Even though I did not celebrate it, I still enjoyed having a chill night at home with my family. For me, it was more about spending time with the people I love and enjoying the night in a way that matched my beliefs.

My favorite Halloween memory would have to be when I was in 4th grade. When my family celebrated Halloween, my brother and I were never allowed to trick-or-treat door to door. So, we would celebrate Halloween at the mall, and they would give kids candy. My mom would empty our candy buckets into her purse, so stores would give us more thinking we didn't get any candy, along with free items from the stores. This mall was huge and had an area for bungee jumping that one could pay for. When I think of Halloween, I think of this mall.
