The Forum

The Florissant Valley contemporary art gallery hosted the 2026 Overseas Art Exchange, an exhibition of work from 30 artists spanning multiple countries. This is an annual exhibition organized and curated by Sheow Chang, (Showay), one of our continuing education art professors at STLCC-FV, and Friends of Taiwan – STL.

Chang reached out to more than seven artists from across the world to share their stories and experiences to the students of Flo Valley. The exhibition explores themes and mediums alike. Trance inducing perspective paintings, Latin heritage pieces, explorations of Taiwanese culture, and digital work were included.

This type of variety is why students should care. Instead of a traditional gallery experience, students get access to multiple perspectives of lives lived by artists in one show.

For students studying art design, or simply just art lovers, the exhibition offered direct contact with working artists whose backgrounds span continents. It's proof that STLCC has real, active ties to the wider art world.

The Florissant Valley Contemporary Art Gallery is located in AI 286/288, and open Monday-Friday 12pm-4pm.
